Together with a team of UNESCO colleagues between Paris and Latin America, I had the pleasure of being responsible for the academic coordination of this high-level activity.
We used the UNESCO Global Toolkit on AI and the Rule of Law to talk about how AI systems are being used in judicial administrations and discussed how AI governance is possible through international and regional human rights standards. We also applied UNESCO’s ethical impact assessment tool for AI.
As my colleague Prateek Sibal stated, “we now have a Latin American Network of Ambassadors on AI and the Rule of Law who are enthusiastic about strengthening capacities of judiciary in their countries over the next years with UNESCO”
The team of this project was also integrated by: Rosa María González, Prateek Sibal, Juan David Gutierrez, Agneris Sampieri, Cecilia Gordano, Cecilia Gonzalez, Matías Ponce, Charline D´Oultremont, Giovanni Imperiali, Gustavo Fonseca Ribeiro.
